Care for children

We take care of children in physical, intellectual and aesthetic development — semi-orphan and street children receive free lodging, boarding, health care and recreation. More than 186 girls benefit from our service today. Free education, food and accommodation are provided to poor children from remote villages.

Special care and protection for orphan and semi-orphan children and children from poor and broken families. The home is a place of safety, security, love and care with all basic facilities for growth.

Dropouts, street children, Gypsy & Irular community

We extend our mission to Gypsy and Irular tribal communities in the hilly terrains of Berigai, Krishnagiri district, Tamil Nadu — vulnerable communities affected by child beggary, child labour, child marriage, illiteracy and poverty. Periodic awareness programs, education and family counselling help them build a life of values and morals.

Evening tuition

Our sisters conduct free evening tuition for drop-outs and poor students. Stationery is provided by the trust. After school, we motivate students to pursue higher studies and help them obtain scholarships — with quality education grounded in moral values.

Robotic classes

Robotic classes help students explore new invention and research.

Social Activities

Women empowerment program

a. Women Empowerment Program

The trust has formed women's groups across villages in Tamil Nadu and conducts awareness programs for women empowerment with the support of dedicated volunteers. Programs aim to help women become confident, self-reliant and socially aware. Food and clothing are provided during programs, and skill development and vocational training strengthen livelihoods and their role in family and society.

The objective: involve women in administration and enable them to become change-agents — leading savings groups and other community activities.

c. Health Care Program

The trust concentrates strongly on rural health. Qualified nursing staff visit remote villages to educate communities on health and hygiene.

Support for senior citizens
Support for Senior Citizens

Cluster-level counselling for health and family concerns. Sugar and BP levels are checked with advice on diet, exercise and medicines. Cataract screening is provided and hospital referrals are made. Family members are included in counselling when needed.

d. Family & Community Welfare

Particular importance is given to socially disadvantaged families — parents, surrogate parents, solo parents and low-income households, families with relational problems, unemployed heads of families and other needy adults.

Annai Scholastica Trust actively raises funds for its ongoing activities and expansion. We keep supporters informed through regular communication and thank-you letters, and invite them to see how their contributions transform the lives of these children. Our trustees are deeply committed to expanding centres of service into deserted and undeveloped areas.
